Jr. Advisory Board Class of 2010

Our Jr. Advisory Board (JAB) is our flagship program. It's a one of a kind leadership program where children learn about business and finance, as well as have a platform where they can demonstrate what they've learned by giving back to their community. Also our JAB team plans, administers, and evaluates the Empty Pockets Initiative.

The Empty Pockets Scholarship and Scholarship Week

This scholarship was created to expand the capabilities of the few financial programs in existence for our youth. Financial literacy is a very important area of education for our youth and sometimes families cannot take advantage of great programs because of financial restrictions. Our scholarship provides families with funds for programs which teach financial literacy. In the same way, this scholarship provides grants to families who are interested in their child attending these programs.

The Empty Pockets 5k Walk

Serving as the focal point of the Empty Pockets Initiative, our 5k walk is our largest public awareness event. Hosted by our Jr Advisory Board, the empty pockets 5k walk is the center piece of the Empty Pockets Scholarship week. In partnership with local schools and community centers around the city, the 5k walk is extremely fun event for the youth.

Financial Workshops

Change 4a Dollar offers a number of financial workshops in several important areas of economics and finance. As part of our Organization Without Walls Initiative, we offer many great "One Day Financial Workshops" for all ages free of charge. From ages 6 to 60, we guarantee you will find a workshop that fit your needs. In Safe Arms Learning Center

The ISA Learning Center is an element of our "In Safe Arms Initiative" instituted by Change 4a Dollar. The ISA mission is to combine local resources to provide a safe haven for children to learn, interact, and play. Each ISA learning center aims to prepare its students to excel as young leaders of tomorrow by combining several after schools programs with an exclusive collegiate-style curriculum. The ISA learning center houses several ground breaking youth programs all designed to promote youth achievement.

The Advocacy Division of Early Life Advancement (ELA)

The purpose of our Advocacy Division is to support parents of children involved in our ELA afterschool curriculum. Parenthood is an overwhelming responsibility, and Change 4a Dollar wants parents to know that we're here to assist them when they have nowhere else to turn and have exhausted all methods available to them. Currently through our ELA afterschool program, we communicate with parents on an as-needed basis to discuss child raising issues.

The Making Millionaire's Summer Camp

This is our four week overnight summer camp full of sun, fun and education. It primary focus is on investments with a secondary focus of grade school preparation. The first 3 weeks of this program is instructional while the 5th week serves as a seminar week where the students can showcase their talents and the things they have learned throughout the duration of the camp.
